Police Prevent Dozens of Suicides in Japan
Reported here. Japan is not overlawyered. In the US, the police would have to think twice about this great humanitarian service. It may become a required duty, if done often enough. Then the lawyers would sue the police if they failed to meet made up standards of due care in preventing a suicide intent posted on the internet.
